Sadly, only about seven users participated in this event. None of the users were banned, and all of the situations were made right. We were really hoping more would come forward, because in the days following the end of Amnesty Week, over 100 accounts were banned. Activity logs were monitored as usual during the special week, and advertising of Amnesty was done during specific times that we knew these accounts were online, to make sure they were aware of the offer. All of those who were banned could have avoided this had they just decided to try and work it out.
I hope that we are able to offer this again sometime in the future, but in the meantime, anyone who wishes to turn themselves in before they are banned are welcome to do so. Honesty is greatly appreciated and will be rewarded, not punished. =)

Thanks guys <3
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad not many admitted anything. :(
ReplyDeleteJust wondering about the ban reason "Advertising other pet sites and spamming" is all about for permanent bans. I thought that you were banned for 4 days for spamming?
ReplyDeleteThis wasn't me but a friend, so I can't provide too much information as I don't know the full dealio.
Thanks~
If the spamming is continuous and does not stop with warnings, or the account was signed up and is not playing but is only spamming, the ban can be permanent rather than temporary. We rarely have this issue, though.
ReplyDeleteWhat happens to the users who own up not during the week?
ReplyDeleteWe will work with them to remove any ill-gotten gains, and any action taken will be only what is absolutely necessary.
ReplyDeleteThe purpose of Amnesty Week was to not ban any accounts for the entire week, and promote the chance to turn yourself in with minimal penalty if any at all. We already had a very large list of users who were cheating, and held off on that list in the hopes most would come forward.
